Cubit was founded in 1995 by Warren Weeks, a director of marketing and communication who was totally frustrated with the poor quality of analysis on offer in the market.

He’d always thought his requirements were simple. He just wanted:

  1. regular briefings tailored to his specific needs that would give him an objective assessment of his current competitive positioning across all media channels and activities,
  2. the kinds of insights that could inform both his strategic planning and tactical responses,
  3. credible figures based on some real science that would prove his team’s value to the organization – specifically he wanted the ability to assess PR and other campaigns against agreed business outcomes,
  4. something that he could easily afford (his budget was pretty tight).

But no-one was offering a suitable solution at the time, so he set out to create one.
